Our Founders

Calvin and Jocelyn Jones, founders of Black Diamond Marriages, have been joyfully married for 20 years. As a blended family, they’ve faced—and overcome—the unique challenges and tests that come with marriage. Through it all, they’ve not only remained committed to their marriage and God, but have grown into best friends who genuinely love doing life together. And they love to have fun!

 

When God placed it on their hearts to start a marriage ministry, He gave them a specific focus - to highlight the joy and fun of marriage, countering the common belief that “marriage is hard.” In obedience to that calling, Calvin and Jocelyn intentionally set out to ensure that every Black Diamond Marriages event is designed to be a fun, interactive experience with a meaningful marriage enrichment component. Couples who attend these events don’t just leave with memories—they leave refreshed, encouraged, and equipped with Biblical, practical tools they can immediately apply to strengthen their relationship.
